How do I register or check-in a customer?

Step 1 - Enter Phone Number or Email Address

Enter phone number in the Search field at the top. You can also use your customer's email address to search for them or register them.

Step 2 - Check-in/ Register Customer

Scenario 1 - Phone number/ email address already exists in your Contact database

On the Search results page, click on the "Action" button next to the customer's details and select "Check-in". 

And you're done!

Scenario 2 - Phone number/ Email address exists in the Referrizer database but is not associated to your account

If the phone number or email address you entered already exists in the Referrizer database, you will be shown a screen through which you can quickly register and check them in.

Enter/update information in the fields and click "Register". The only mandatory field is Phone OR Email.

Here is an overview of some of the fields that you see on this page:

  • Invited by Employee (PIN Code) [OPTIONAL] - If the employee enters their PIN code (usually the last 4 digits of their cell number), the Account Owner will be able to see which employee registered the customer. This is good for employee performance tracking.
  • Referred by Customer [OPTIONAL] - If the new customer claims to have been referred by an existing customer but doesn't have access to the referral voucher they received, you can search for the existing customer here by entering their name, phone number or email address. If the customer is found and entered in this field, they will automatically receive reward for a referral when you register the new customer.
  • Invite this Customer to Referral Program - If this field is checked, the new customer will receive a text message inviting them to your Referral Program, so that they can start referring your business to their friends and family.
  • Add Check-in point - Checking this box automatically awards a check-in (loyalty) point to the new customer. It is recommended that you keep this box checked to reward the customer for their current visit.

And you're done!

Scenario 3 - Phone number/ Email address does not exist in the Referrizer database

If the phone number or email address you entered does not exist in the Referrizer database, you will be able to register the customer by entering their details.

Enter/update information in the fields and click "Register".

The only mandatory field is Phone OR Email. But it is recommended that you fill as many fields as possible.

Here is an overview of some of the fields that you see on this page:

Checking-in a customer takes less than 30 seconds, so make sure you do it every time a customer comes in. Pass these instructions along to your employees so that everyone is one the same page.
