We’ve recently implemented an additional security feature to further protect your data and resources. Two-factor authentication (2FA) is now mandatory during login. This added layer of security ensures only authorized users can access your account.
What is Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) requires you to verify your identity using two different forms of identification: something you know (your password) and something you have (either your email or phone).
Available Verification Methods
1. Email Verification (Default for All Users)
By default, all users will receive a verification code via email. After entering your username and password, you’ll be prompted to enter the code sent to your registered email address.
2. SMS Verification (Optional)
If you prefer to use your phone for verification, SMS verification is available as an optional method. To enable this, you’ll need to provide a phone number specifically for this purpose.
How to Enable SMS Verification:
- Go to the Settings - Edit My Profile page.
- Find the new input field to add your phone number.
- Enter the phone number you want to use for SMS verification.
- Save the changes to your profile.
Once your phone number is provided, you’ll be able to select SMS as your verification method.
Steps for Two-Factor Authentication
1. Log in to your account
Enter your username and password.
2. Select your verification method
- Email Verification: You’ll receive a verification code sent to your email address.
- SMS Verification: If you’ve provided your phone number, you’ll receive a code via text message.
3. Enter the code
After receiving the code, enter it in the verification prompt.
4. Access your account
Once verified, you’ll be granted access to your account.
