Yelp's Policy on Reviews

Review sites like Yelp and others update their policies frequently, and at Referrizer we have no control over how they choose to prioritize search results or select reviews to be featured. They change their policies frequently. We encourage all of our customers to stay informed on policy updates for any site where they have an online presence and to customize Referrizer's feedback & reviews functionality in whatever manner you feel is best.

We do typically recommend the Review Boost email to be set towards Google, Facebook, or another review site. With that being said, we are aware of notices going out to customers at times, and we are reviewing Yelp's policies in detail at this time to make sure we are in compliance. Here is the Yelp review policy online https://www.yelp-support.com/article/Don-t-Ask-for-Reviews?l=en_US

Now as you know we do not incentivize for Yelp reviews, only our own, and we reach out to every customer not just targeted ones that love you. So we are within compliance in these regards. But, still, if you are concerned about the potential of being penalized by a review site for simply asking customers to review their experience after a visit, you can disconnect the link in the Reputation section of your Referrizer account, and it will no longer be highlighted to your customers as a posting option.

If you have any questions, or you would like help modifying this setting, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected]or your account manager directly.
